1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website at cardiffaccidentrepair.co.uk and the repair services we provide at our workshop in Rumney, Cardiff.

Cardiff Accident Repair is operated as a sole trader by Ali. By requesting a quote, booking a repair, or using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them before proceeding.

If you have any questions, contact us:

2. Our Services

We provide bodywork, paint, panel and accident repair services for private motor vehicles, including:

All services are carried out at our Rumney workshop or, where agreed in advance, collected from your location.

3. Quotes

3.1 Quotes provided via WhatsApp, phone or email based on photographs are estimates only. A firm quote can only be given following a physical inspection of the vehicle at our workshop.

3.2 Written quotes issued after a workshop inspection are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless we notify you otherwise. After 30 days, parts prices and labour rates may have changed and a revised quote may be needed.

3.3 If we discover additional damage during the repair that was not visible at the time of quoting: for example, concealed structural damage behind a panel: we will contact you before carrying out any additional work. We will not proceed with extra work without your agreement and will provide a revised price first.

3.4 A quote is not a contract. Work begins only once you have confirmed acceptance of the quote and, where applicable, an insurance authority to proceed has been received.

4. Booking and Authorisation

4.1 A booking is confirmed when you have accepted our written quote and we have agreed a start date with you.

4.2 For insurance claim repairs, work will not begin until we have received written or electronic authority to proceed from your insurer or their appointed loss adjuster, unless you instruct us to commence on a private-pay basis in the interim.

4.3 By booking your vehicle in with us, you confirm that you are the registered keeper or owner of the vehicle, or that you have the authority of the registered keeper or owner to authorise the repair work.

5. Prices and Payment

5.1 Our prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT where VAT applies. Please confirm VAT status when requesting a quote if this is relevant to you.

5.2 For private-pay repairs, payment is due in full on collection of the vehicle unless we have agreed otherwise in writing in advance.

5.3 We accept payment by bank transfer, cash, and other methods agreed at the time of booking. Please confirm your preferred method when you book.

5.4 We reserve the right to retain your vehicle until payment has been made in full. This is a lien on the vehicle under UK common law.

5.5 For insurance repairs, we will invoice your insurer directly where authority has been given. Any excess payment due under your policy is your responsibility and is payable to us directly on collection, unless your insurer has agreed to settle it separately.

5.6 If payment is not received within 14 days of the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount at 8% above the Bank of England base rate per annum, calculated daily, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.

6. Your Vehicle

6.1 You are responsible for removing all personal belongings from your vehicle before dropping it off. We accept no liability for personal items left in the vehicle.

6.2 We will take reasonable care of your vehicle while it is in our custody. Our workshop is secured, but we do not accept liability for loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including theft by forced entry, fire, flood or other events.

6.3 We may need to test-drive your vehicle as part of the repair and quality-check process. By booking your vehicle with us, you authorise us to drive it on public roads for this purpose. Our business is covered by motor trade road risks insurance for this.

6.4 Please inform us of any known mechanical faults, warning lights, or other issues with your vehicle at the time of booking, particularly anything that could affect safe road testing or workshop handling.

7. Completion and Collection

7.1 We will give you an estimated completion date when you book. Timescales may be affected by parts availability, insurer approval delays, or the discovery of additional damage. We will keep you updated if the timeline changes.

7.2 Once your vehicle is ready, we will contact you to arrange collection. We ask that you collect your vehicle within 5 working days of being notified that it is ready. If your vehicle remains on our premises beyond this period, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee of up to £25 per day.

7.3 Please inspect your vehicle carefully at the point of collection. If you have any concerns about the repair, raise them with Ali at that point. Concerns raised after you have driven the vehicle away may be more difficult to assess in the context of the original repair.

8. Workmanship Guarantee

8.1 We stand behind the quality of our work. Our repairs carry a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of collection, covering defects in the repair work we carried out.

8.2 The guarantee covers paint adhesion, panel alignment and structural integrity of repairs we have completed. It does not cover:

8.3 If you believe a repair has failed within the guarantee period, contact us as soon as possible. We will inspect the vehicle and, if the fault is found to be within the scope of the guarantee, carry out the necessary remedial work at no charge.

8.4 The guarantee applies to the original customer on whose instruction the work was carried out and is not transferable to a subsequent vehicle owner.

9. Insurance Claims

9.1 You are entitled by law to choose your own repairer for an insurance claim, regardless of which repairer your insurer recommends. Cardiff Accident Repair works with all major UK insurers.

9.2 Where you ask us to liaise with your insurer on your behalf, you authorise us to share the information necessary to progress the claim: including photographs, repair specifications and costs: with your insurer and their appointed assessor.

9.3 The contract for repair work is between you and Cardiff Accident Repair, not between us and your insurer. If your insurer disputes or reduces our costs, this is a matter between you and your insurer. We will work with you to resolve any such disputes, but we are not responsible for shortfalls arising from your insurer’s decisions.

9.4 We are not authorised to give insurance advice. Nothing we say in the course of handling your claim constitutes insurance advice.

10. Liability

10.1 We do not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter where it would be unlawful to do so.

10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services: whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise: is limited to the total amount you paid us for the specific repair to which the claim relates.

10.3 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of the vehicle, loss of earnings, or the cost of alternative transport, except where required by law.

10.4 If you are a consumer (as defined under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.

11. Cancellations

11.1 You may cancel a confirmed booking before work has commenced by giving us reasonable notice. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice where possible so we can re-allocate the workshop slot.

11.2 If you cancel after work has already begun, you will be liable for the reasonable cost of work carried out and materials used up to the point of cancellation.

11.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in exceptional circumstances (for example, if key equipment fails or a parts supplier cannot fulfil an order). We will give you as much notice as possible and will reschedule at a time convenient to you.

12. Use of Our Website

12.1 The content on our website: including text, images and service descriptions: is for general information only. While we keep it up to date, we do not guarantee that it is always accurate, complete or current.

12.2 Prices, timescales and service details shown on the website are indicative only. A confirmed quote, agreed in writing with you directly, takes precedence.

12.3 We are not responsible for the content of any third-party websites linked from our site.

12.4 You must not use our website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that could damage our reputation or systems.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including the Cardiff Accident Repair name, logo, text and images, is our property or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, copy or use it without our prior written consent.

14. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, available at [cardiffaccidentrepair.co.uk/privacy-policy]. These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside the Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints

We take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact Ali directly:

We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it directly, you may be able to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme or, where applicable, to the courts.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website with the “Last updated” date shown at the top. Continued use of our services or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
